Introduction
Hello,
My name is Jessica Jean- Baptiste, and I am an Art education with Initial Certification student. I have taken the great opportunity to observe an art teacher at Marymount school last semester. I have some experience as a substitute teacher in New York city public schools, this past summer. I started the Summer 2015 semester at Columbia, and I have enjoyed it so far. I attended the School of Visual, and there i gained some experience with digital art materials and new media. I had the liberty of taking a visual computing class where I learned how to use softwares, Photoshop and Illustrator. I also took a course for my Junior seminar class, where we learned how to use photoshop more in depth and Final cut pro, as well as how to print on matte or regular paper. At the School of Visual arts, I was also able to become a teachers aide at a Nursery day care center, as part of my work study.
